The organic fluorinated chemicals produced by Capchem are mainly downstream fluorinated fine chemicals of hexafluoropropylene. Capchem’s fluorinated pharmaceutical and pesticide intermediates can be grouped under two main categories: (1) fluorinated pharmaceutical intermediates, including fluorinated inhalation anesthetics intermediates and antiviral drug intermediates; and (2) fluorinated pesticide intermediates, such as less-toxic diflubenzuron insecticide.
At present, the top three fluorinated inhalation anesthetic manufacturers in China all choose to use our products, and we hold 30% share of the fluorinated inhalation anesthetics market.

Perfluoropolyether Lubricants and Vacuum Pump Oil
With an average molecular weight ranging from 500 to 15000, perfluoropolyether is a polymer compound composed of only three elements (i.e., C, F and O). Featured with heat resistance, oxidation resistance, radiation resistance, corrosion resistance and non-combustibility, perfluoropolyethers are widely used in the sectors of chemicals, electronics, electrical appliances, machinery.

Fluorinated Gases for Electrical Insulation
As fluorinated gases for electrical insulation, they are used as insulating gas in medium and high voltage electrical appliances to extinguish electrical arcs. With low global warming potential (GWP), they can serve as a high-quality substitute for the conventional insulating gas SF6 (a potent greenhouse gas), and are commonly used for insulation and protection of medium and high voltage transmission and distribution infrastructure. With 99% GHG emission reduction potential, the special fluorinated gas mixture is used to replace SF6 in the commercial equipment for power grid, with an aim to significantly reduce environmental impact. Featured with non-flammability and high dielectric strength, they can contribute to creating a low-risk workplace when used in accordance with the design requirements.

Fluorinated surfactants (abbreviated as FS) are surfactants with fluorocarbon chains as non-polar groups when the hydrogen atoms in the hydrocarbon chain are partially or completely substituted with fluorine atoms. With high surface activity and high thermodynamic and chemical stability, fluorocarbon surfactants are used in fire control, chemicals, pesticides, mineral processing, papermaking, leather and textiles.
As fluorinated surfactants with the best overall effects, PFOS and PFOA are used in many fields. However, a large number of studies have shown that these two substances are one of the most difficult-to-degrade organic pollutants in the world, with long-lasting environmental stability and high bioaccumulation and mobility potentials. The United Nations has add them to the Listing of POPs list and prohibited or restricted their use.
From the perspective of current substitutes, it is imperative for us to step up the research and development of novel durable less-toxic or non-toxic substitutes that are non-polluting to the environment, harmless to the ecology, and safe to human health.
