Capchem Attended The International Digital Energy Expo 2024

From September 8 to 11, The International Digital Energy Expo 2024 was held in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. Contributing to the Global Energy Transition Driven by Innovation

Capchem focuses on the research and development, production, sales and service of battery chemicals, and its products are applied in energy storage, consumption and other fields, providing safer, more efficient and greener innovative solutions for global energy transition.Over the past 20 years, Capchem has driven green development with scientific and technological innovation, and continuously strengthened technological research and development based on the integrated innovation mechanism of “R&D, production, and delivery”to enhance process and energy efficiency through continuous improvement.Capchem has established the mechanism of production, learning, research and utilization, applied for more than 1,200 patents, and set up more than 30 R&D platforms to accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.Capchem has already made a series of achievements in the development of independent new additives and formulations.For example, Ethylene Oxide to Carbonate Solvents Integrated Process (ECOSIPTM), which converts carbon dioxide generated into carbonate, the core material of the new energy industry. Through this process, the company removed 19,582 tons of carbon dioxide in 2023, vigorously promoting emission reduction.At the same time, the company is actively laying out new lithium salts, additives and solvents and other raw materials, in order to explore with upstream and downstream partners to solve the industry's difficulties through the layout of the whole industry chain.

Driving Green Practices in Scenarios

On the scene, Capchem's green practice cases became a hot spot for consultation and exchange.In the face of the historic opportunity to build a new type of electric power system with new energy as the main body promoted by the dual-carbon target, Capchem has already built several green product cases, integrating the green concept of “efficient use of resources,energy conservation, environmental protection, and healthy and safe production” into the whole life cycle of the products. In this exhibition, Capchem displayed its core member Hexafluo's self-developed environmentally friendly products, including fluorinated coolant and Perfluoroisobutyronitrile, as well as its end-of-application equipment.With fluorinated coolant, electronic components can be immersed in a cooling bath, which can improve energy efficiency by 70%, reduce noise by 45%, and reduce the overall failure rate of equipment by 50%.Perfluoroisobutyronitrile is one of the core products of Hexafluo, and the first 1,000-ton Perfluoroisobutyronitrile industrial production line has been put into trial production in Hexafluo. Perfluoroisobutyronitrile, as a new generation of low-GWP environmentally friendly electric power insulating gases, can reduce more than 100 million tons of equivalent carbon emissions annually if it completely replaces sulfur hexafluoride.

Building an Integration Engine with Digitization

Capchem has always attached great importance to digital transformation, comprehensively applying SAP、CRM、SRM、LIMS、MES、OA and other informatization systems, which have already covered the whole process chain from raw material management, product development, production, delivery and integrated services, promoting resource aggregation as well as innovative application and development of resource operation, boosting the company's business growth, and promoting the industry to move in the direction of more efficient and smarter.

In the field of energy saving and carbon reduction, Capchem is currently building a carbon management information platform based on its data integration capabilities, expecting to realize the company's regular organization of carbon inventory through the carbon management information platform, and effectively improve accounting efficiency and data quality. At the same time, it provides the company with comprehensive carbon emission management and operation services, so as to improve energy efficiency ratio and reduce carbon emissions.

Deepening the Global Strategic Layout

The exhibition also set up an international enterprise exhibition area for the first time to build an efficient business platform for international and domestic enterprises. Many representatives of international enterprises visited Capchem's booth and exchanged the latest technologies and applications in the field of global digital energy.

In the face of the huge market for electrolyte brought about by the rapid growth of the global power battery market, Capchem's globalized production capacity layout for lithium battery electrolyte and key materials has long begun.In Europe, Capchem Poland's lithium battery electrolyte project with a capacity of 40,000 tons/year has been put into production. And, Capchem Poland and German customers signed about 1.1 billion euros long order, agreed from 2025 to 2034 to provide customers with lithium battery electrolyte. In the U.S., Capchem intends to invest no more than 120 million U.S. dollars to build a battery chemicals production base in Ohio, is expected to be put into production in 2026; Louisiana project is also continuing to promote the preliminary work. As of June 2024, the company has had nine production bases for battery chemicals around the world to realize delivery guarantee.
