Capchem Attended The Battery Show North America 2024

From October 8 to 10, local time, The Battery Show North America 2024, an advanced battery technology and electric vehicle technology event, was held in Huntington Place, Detroit, Michigan, USA. As a global leading supplier of electrolyte for lithium batteries, super capacitor electrolyte and related materials, Capchem showed up with integrated solutions for battery chemicals, fully demonstrating its technological strength. Capchem's booth welcomed a large number of visitors, and its innovative strength and technological achievements attracted the attention of customers from all over the world.

Integrating Industrial Chain Layout

Capchem has specialized in the field of battery chemicals for nearly 30 years, and has been providing integrated solutions for many leading enterprises around the world. At the exhibition, Capchem displayed diversified products, which enable Capchem to create safer, more efficient, greener and more innovative solutions for customers according to different scenarios.

Since entering the field of battery chemicals, Capchem has integrated the R&D, production, sales and service of battery chemicals based on advanced technology and production management system, focusing on the core performance of products such as high safety, long cycle and high energy efficiency, and constantly breaking through and making progress.

On the R&D side, Capchem drives green development with scientific and technological innovation. Based on the integrated capability of R&D, production and delivery, Capchem strengthens the integrated configuration of innovative elements such as projects, talents, bases and funds, so as to promote product innovation and diversification, and to effectively connect research results and business development. Capchem has applied for more than 1,200 patents and established more than 30 R&D platforms.

On the product side, Capchem has successively launched innovative products and solutions such as self-developed new functional additives, new battery system electrolyte, high voltage battery system electrolyte, etc., which are applied in the fields of consumption, power and energy storage, and are highly recognized and favored by the market. In addition, the global commercialization of all-solid-state batteries is accelerating, and the application scenarios of sodium-ion batteries are gradually becoming clearer. Capchem grasps the future market opportunities and launches sodium-ion battery and solid-state battery solutions to address the industry's pain points, which also triggered the attention of customers.

At the same time, Capchem is actively integrating the supply chain, vertically laying out new lithium salts, additives, and solvents, etc., so as to strengthen the cost competitiveness of the company's battery chemicals business and ensure stable supply.

Deepening the Global Strategic Layout

Capchem has already won the attention of global partners as a leading international enterprise. Many representatives of international enterprises visited Capchem's booth and had business exchanges with Capchem.

North America's new energy vehicle market and battery supply chain started early, with vigor and growth potential, attracting many global battery companies to build factories in the United States.

In order to meet the demand for lithium-ion battery electrolyte and other battery chemicals in the North American market, to help localize the supply chain of lithium-ion battery materials, and to deepen the cooperative relationship with long-term strategic customers, Capchem intends to invest up to 120 million U.S. dollars to build a production base for battery chemicals in Ohio, which is expected to go into operation in 2026; and the project in Louisiana is also in the process of continuing to promote the preliminary work.

This exhibition is an important step in the implementation of Capchem's internationalization strategy. Capchem Poland's capacity of 40,000 tons per year of lithium battery electrolyte has been put into production, and signed a long term order of about 1.1 billion euros with a German customer, agreeing to provide lithium battery electrolyte to the customer from 2025 to 2034; and is currently planning to build 50,000 tons per year lithium battery electrolyte project. As of June 2024, the company's battery chemicals have been delivered and guaranteed by nine production bases around the world.

In the future, Capchem will provide the market with more high-quality, safe and green products and solutions based on advanced technology cooperating with all partners, and joining hands to promote the global energy transformation.
