Fluorinated Gases for Electrical Insulation
As fluorinated gases for electrical insulation, they are used as insulating gas in medium and high voltage electrical appliances to extinguish electrical arcs. With low global warming potential (GWP), they can serve as a high-quality substitute for the conventional insulating gas SF6 (a potent greenhouse gas), and are commonly used for insulation and protection of medium and high voltage transmission and distribution infrastructure.
